At Teaching Consultancy, we help place Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants/SEN Teaching Assistants, Behaviour Mentors, Class Teachers, SEND Teachers and Senior Leaders. We are also able to supply support staff in terms of administrative staff, Occupational/Speech & Language/Physical Therapists and medical staff.
We work with a wide variety of schools which include nurseries, primary schools, secondary schools, Further Education Colleges, SEND schools and Alternative Provisions. We can also support with supplying outreach tutors who tutor individuals who cannot attend school in their own home or in a public place.
To work as a Teaching Assistant, you do not need any formal qualifications aside from good GCSE’s in Maths and English. What you really need is a passion to support children and a commitment to developing. If you are wishing to work as a teacher, you will need Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), though some roles will allow unqualified teachers providing you have enough experience. Overseas teachers are also accepted.
Absolutely! We have an in-house SEND teacher and expert who looks after all SEND schools and candidates interested in working within special ed. Some of the roles we cover within SEND include Learning Support Assistants, SEND TA’s, SEND Teachers, SENCO’s and Heads of Inclusion.

This really depends on the role you are doing. Teaching Assistant salaries start at £80 per day, but can increase up to £110 per day depending on the responsibilities. Teachers, you will be paid according to your pay scale for long-term assignments. Day-to-day supply rates start at £150 per day for ECT’s.
